In 2020, of course, we needed to suspend live seminars due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, each of these sessions gives us the ability to make additional members of the public aware of AMAC and the AMAC Foundation.

Nearly 2,000 seniors have attended these free seminars, and the feedback has been tremendous. Topics covered ranged from benefits-related seminars to workshops on technical issues important to older Americans. This initiative continued in the 2018-2019 period over 60 separate sessions presented.

Accreditation is earned through the Ohio-based National Social Security Association (NSSA). The training preceding the qualification exam equips these Advisors to provide guidance to clients on the many Social Security options available, and enables them to provide a trusted service to the public. Several AMAC Foundation representatives have earned accreditation as National Social Security Advisors, qualifying them to counsel retirees and pre-retirees on questions and issues pertaining to Social Security.
